Regina Hammeken Iturralde was born in Mexico City and is currently based in Dallas, Texas. At the age of fifteen she began training at the Houston Metropolitan Dance Center and later the Institute of Contemporary Dance, where she was an inaugural member of the Houston Contemporary 2- a concert based, non competitive, pre-professional dance company focused on training and performance under the direction of Genene Wallis-McGrath and Marlana Doyle. Regina recently graduated from Southern Methodist University, where she earned degrees in Psychology and Dance Performance. During that time she had the pleasure to grow and train under Christopher Dolder, Carter Alexander, Brandi Coleman, Silas Farley, Anne Westwick, Christie Bondade, and Myra Woodruff. She also had the opportunity to work with esteemed choreographers including Larry Keigwin, Kim Cooper, Zach Ingram, Sekou McMiller, Alvon Reed. Regina loves the infinite journey of evolving as an artist and person while enjoying the current moment and gaining inspiration from those around her.

Dance is my outlet, my opportunity to escape reality and step into an incredible and creative experience that further pushes me to want to share such breathtaking art form with those around me. I am a very empathetic dancer, bringing immense work ethic and positivity to every experience I encounter. As an ever-growing artist, I am constantly pushing my boundaries and absorbing inspiration from other creators.
